Just in case you were wondering.......Today is National Angel Food Cake Day.
Though why anybody would dub that dry spongy mostly tasteless glop "Angel Food" is beyond me. It's the Melba Toast of cakes.

It's more about texture than taste.
ReplyDeleteI think it's yum. Add some strawberries and you got yourself a de-ssert! Guy is right. It is about the texture. Of course I don't know why there is a day devoted to it either. I would rather have a national chocolate day personally.

ReplyDeleteGuy- It's foam. Sweet and sticky foam, but it's still foam. It's just a carrier for other things like strawberries and whipped cream.
